[sirens] >> reporter: with more than 230 people killed, it appears to be the world's deadliest nightclub fire in more than a decade. witnesses say the band on stage performing was using flares which sparked the flames. video from the scene shows shirtless young men joining firefighters, using axes to break through windows and walls to help free those trapped. according to doctors, most of those killed were suffocated by the smoke. at least 50 bodies were found inside a bathroom, apparently the victims confused the rest room door with the exit door. we spoke with prince george's county fire chief who said this tragedy should serve as a reminder to be aware of your surroundings, particularly in a crowd. >> everyone will try to go out the same door they came in, because it's all they know. if they look for the secondary exits they'll have an idea in their head, i know i can go this way. if you didn't look in the b
